Cider and Stripes

This weekend I went upstate to the gorgeous Hudson Valley region of New York.  The Hudson Valley runs from Albany to Westchester County and encompasses the valley of the Hudson River and its neighboring towns. The area is made up of rolling hills, sprawling farms, and quaint towns. New York is a major state in apple production, and now many Hudson Valley farms are starting to make hard apple cider. I headed to the adorable town of Warwick to check out a craft cidery, Doc's Draft Hard Cider.

Doc's is located at the Warwick Valley Winery. They have a great tasting room where you can sample different types of their cider and wine. Doc's cider was delicious and they had fun seasonal flavors, like raspberry cider, on tap. I love getting out of the city and exploring other parts of New York State, and Hudson Valley is a fun, easy day trip. I'm looking forward to checking out more Hudson Valley towns, and seeing the colorful leaves dot the rolling hills, in the fall!

The dress I'm wearing is from Anthropologie and I've head my eye on it for a while. It's very lightweight, and was perfect for a day spent outside in the country.
